College Advising
At Trinity Classical School, we educate with the end in mind. Our goal is to form students who love God and who are prepared to live faithfully and thoughtfully beyond our walls, as students, professionals, family members, and servants of God.
We seek to cultivate the habit of life-long learning rooted in wisdom and humility, equipping students to use their education to glorify God and serve their families, churches, and communities. For many students, this formation continues through higher education.
Our College Advising program partners with students and families to prayerfully consider post-secondary paths that align with each student’s gifts, calling, and readiness. Our College Advisor guides students through the college exploration and application process, helping them stay organized, informed, and intentional, while ensuring each application reflects the student’s character, academic formation, and sense of purpose.
Standardized Testing
At Trinity Classical School, all students in 8th through 12th grades take the Classic Learning Test (CLT) as part of our commitment to a classical, Christ-centered education. We believe the CLT best reflects the academic formation we pursue, emphasizing reasoning, reading, and thoughtful engagement with enduring works rather than test-taking strategies alone.
The CLT draws on passages from classic and influential texts across a range of disciplines, providing a meaningful measure of students’ reasoning ability, aptitude, and academic preparation. The assessments are taken online, completed in approximately two hours, and provide same-day results. In addition to individual scores, the CLT offers schools and colleges insight into student learning trends that support thoughtful admissions and instructional decisions.
In addition to the CLT, students in grades 10 and 11 take the PSAT, and most students in grade 12 also take the SAT, ensuring they are well prepared for a variety of college admissions requirements.
